Disney went woke and declared war on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
But it’s about to get worse for the left-wing corporation.
And Disney is going to live to regret picking this fight with Ron DeSantis.
Disney heiress Abigail Disney penned an op-ed in The Washington Post urging her grandfather’s company to go even more woke and fight back against Ron DeSantis over the Parental Rights in Education Bill.
Abigail Disney amplified the Big Lie that DeSantis and other parents concerned about sexualizing young children with inappropriate lessons about transgenderism wanted to “erase” homosexuals from existence.
“To find its way again, Disney needs to muster the courage to weather the momentary outrage of people who will not be satisfied until they have erased an entire class of human beings,” Disney wrote. “Because if this brand does not stand for love, what on earth is it for?”
Disney argued that companies needed to lean into the woke agenda even harder and become even more political.
“Business leaders like to claim political neutrality, suggesting they be left alone to ‘just do business.’ But changes to tax, antitrust and regulatory policy in recent decades, directly affecting (and benefiting) profitability, make it clear that just doing business has been very political indeed,” Disney added.
Disney urged companies like her grandfather’s to cut off all donations to Ron DeSantis and other conservatives who refused to support left-wing ideologues grooming young school children into the transgender lifestyle.
“This time, the far-right-wing political machine appears to have gotten out over its skis,” Disney claimed. “Politicians should be asking whether, come next election cycle, Disney or any other corporation will back them given these threats of arbitrary punishment under a potential Republican administration.”
Abigail Disney ranted that there was no such thing as neutrality for businesses anymore and standing with the woke mob was the only option.
“Has allowing zealots (and opportunists) to take charge of the right-wing agenda effectively bitten the corporate hand that has fed the right for so long?” Disney declared. “The world has changed since my grandfather’s day. Corporations looking to occupy neutral ground — including Disney — would do well to admit that there is no longer such a thing.”
But demands for the Disney corporation to go even more woke are about to blow up in the company’s face.
A new Trafalgar Group survey found that 68 percent of Americans were less likely to do business with Disney over the work corporation’s embrace of the radical homosexual agenda.
More than 68 percent of general-election voters say they are less likely to do business with Disney after reports that it plans to include sexual ideology in new content for children, a new poll found.
The Trafalgar Group’s new National Issues Survey on Disney, which was sponsored by the Convention of States Action, found that more than 69 percent of respondents said they were likely to support “family-friendly alternatives” to Disney.
