Florida's new Democrat Senate nominee wants to abolish ICE, freeze rents, and hand out amnesty.
Now she's telling America that Republicans only fight "woke" because they're terrified of minorities taking power.
And Ron DeSantis was fuming when he heard what Democrat Angie Nixon said about his war against wokeism in Florida.
The DSA Member Who Calls Herself a Capitalist
Angie Nixon won Florida's Democrat Senate primary six days ago – beating establishment favorite and Trump impeachment witness Alexander Vindman by 12 points despite being outspent more than 16-to-1.
She joined the Democratic Socialists of America earlier this year.
The DSA's platform calls for abolishing the Senate, defunding the military, and lifting sanctions on Iran.
Nixon tells reporters she's "not a socialist."
She also wants to abolish ICE, implement Medicare for All, freeze rents nationally, grant mass amnesty, and restore every DEI program DeSantis spent years dismantling.
"You gotta close these corporate tax loopholes," Nixon said in a recent interview. "You have to put the DEI policies back in place."

On why Republicans fight back against woke ideology, Nixon dropped the mask entirely.
"Ron DeSantis had this attack on woke, this stop woke, because he wants people sleeping," she said. "They are fearful… They're fearful that if this group comes into power, all these marginalized people, that they're going to do to them what they've done to many of us for hundreds of years."
This is a sitting state lawmaker who also once said she cannot work with Republicans because "they are literally trying to kill us."
Now she's the Democrats' Senate nominee in Florida.
DeSantis Won by Nearly 20 Points Doing Exactly What Nixon Wants to Reverse
In 2022, DeSantis signed the Stop WOKE Act – ending critical race theory indoctrination in Florida classrooms and workplaces.
In 2023, he signed Senate Bill 266, banning state funding for DEI programs at Florida's public universities entirely.
The Florida Department of Education scrubbed a full 57 percent of courses previously labeled "general education" in a review that removed radical ideology from core curricula.
DeSantis called DEI what it actually is: "discrimination, exclusion, and indoctrination."
Nixon's Senate campaign is a promise to put all of it back.
Her opponent, Republican Sen. Ashley Moody, was appointed by DeSantis to fill Marco Rubio's seat when Rubio became Secretary of State.
Moody's campaign message is two words: "Stop socialism."
She called Nixon a member of the "I hate America DSA Party."

The National Republican Senatorial Committee was equally direct: "Socialism has no place in the Sunshine State."
DeSantis didn't build the most aggressive anti-DEI, anti-CRT record in America because he feared anything.
He built it because Florida parents, students, and voters demanded it – and he won reelection by nearly 20 points.
Nixon spent her interview explaining that restoring DEI is about "leveling the playing field" – that generations of historical disadvantage mean some people need a boost to compete.
That's not leveling a field.
That's the same ideology DeSantis correctly identified as discrimination dressed up in equity language – and Florida voters rewarded him for dismantling it.
They got the clearest possible picture of what the other side believes this week.
They'll give their answer in November.
