Florida Just Found the Text Message That Could Put Anthony Fauci in a Courtroom

Aug 13, 2026

Anthony Fauci told pregnant women the COVID vaccine was perfectly safe.

Now his own private texts say something completely different – and Florida wants him under oath to explain it.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier just got the ammunition he needed to drag Fauci into a state courtroom Biden's pardon can't touch.

What Fauci Wrote While He Was Telling You Not to Worry

The texts came off Fauci's government iPhone – more than 34,000 messages senators Ron Johnson and Rand Paul pried out of the Department of Health and Human Services this month.

In January 2021, while his public message was that the COVID vaccine was safe and recommended for pregnant women, Fauci was writing something else to his colleagues.

"Since many people have significant cytokines storm and fever after the 2nd dose," Fauci wrote to then-CDC Director Rochelle Walensky and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy, "this theoretically could be associated with miscarriage in the 1st trimester."

In plain English: the fever your body runs after the second shot could kill a first-trimester pregnancy.

Walensky and Murthy told him he made a "good point."

Uthmeier called it exactly what it is.

"This is more explicit evidence of deception and his defrauding of the American people, especially these pregnant women, these moms," Uthmeier said Monday on Fox News.

Johnson went further, alleging the data showed an 82% miscarriage rate among women vaccinated in the first trimester – a number he said federal researchers then buried in a misleading New England Journal of Medicine study that used only confirmed pregnancies to calculate a 12.6% rate.

Fauci knew, didn't tell anyone, and then watched as researchers published numbers designed to hide the real scale.

Biden's Pardon Has a Florida-Shaped Hole in It

Here's what Fauci's lawyers are not telling you.

Biden's sweeping preemptive pardon – issued in January 2025 before Fauci was ever charged with anything – shields him only from federal prosecution for acts committed through the final day of the Biden administration.

It covers nothing in Florida.

Uthmeier is investigating Fauci under state law for deceptive trade practices, public nuisance, and fraud – specifically whether Fauci issued COVID guidance that harmed Florida businesses and consumers while privately collecting millions from book deals and awards built on his pandemic celebrity.

Fauci collected approximately $900,000 from the Dan David Prize alone.

He applied for over $1 million in awards in 2021 – using government resources while the country was locked down.

Uthmeier joined Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill and West Virginia Attorney General John McCuskey in the subpoena, but Florida's investigation is the most aggressive – and the miscarriage texts just handed Uthmeier a concrete fraud theory.

If Fauci's private concerns about first-trimester risk never made it into the official guidance Florida residents relied on, that is not a bureaucratic oversight.

That is fraud.

He Dodged Congress — He Cannot Dodge This

Fauci has not responded to the subpoena.

Uthmeier made clear that not responding is not an option.

"If he does not, we will seek to effectuate the subpoena in court," Uthmeier said.

This is not a congressional hearing where Fauci can invoke the Fifth Amendment 111 times and walk out the door.

Fauci's lawyers can challenge the subpoena in Florida court – but challenging it means appearing in Florida court, which means this story doesn't end with a Senate committee vote.

Uthmeier said his office plans to issue more subpoenas as investigators work through the phone and other devices – which means the 34,000 texts are just the beginning.

What else is on that phone?

Fauci spent four years telling America the science was settled while his own texts showed he knew it wasn't.

Florida is about to make him say that under oath – and Biden isn't attorney general there.
