Anthony Fauci just refused to answer a single Senate question about his own private diary.
The diary Rand Paul found buried across 11 separate government servers – the one that proves he lied to America about everything.
Ron DeSantis read every word of it and called them exactly what they are: badges of honor.
What the Diary Actually Says
Rand Paul released more than 1,000 pages of Fauci's private COVID journals last month.
The media had built Fauci into something close to a god.
Science magazines put him on their covers.
People installed shrines to him in their homes.
CNN treated his every recommendation as divine revelation.
And now we know what he was writing in private the whole time.
In March 2020, Fauci wrote that he personally convinced New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio to close the city's schools.

He made the same pitch to California Governor Newsom's chief of staff that same night – and Newsom shut California's schools down the next morning.
More than seven million children were locked out of classrooms for a year or longer.
Then Fauci spent years telling the country he had "nothing to do" with school closures.
"Show me a school that I shut down," he said in a 2023 interview. "Never. I never did."
His own diary proves that's a lie.
When Rand Paul subpoenaed him to answer for it, Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment over 100 times and refused to say a word.
DeSantis Was the One Governor Who Refused
While Fauci was calling Florida a "disgrace" and flying down to do hit pieces on local news, DeSantis was doing the reading himself.
In fall 2020, DeSantis issued an executive order mandating that Florida's public schools stay open.
The teachers' unions sued him over it.
He fought them in court and won.
Every child whose parents wanted them in a classroom got to be there.
Florida fully reopened its restaurants, bars, and beaches before the federal government said it was safe.

DeSantis blocked local governments from imposing vaccine mandates when the rest of the country was firing nurses and teachers over their shot status.
Here's what the scoreboard looks like for the state Fauci called "a complete disgrace."
During the core COVID years of 2020 through 2022, Florida's age-adjusted mortality rate ranked 31st in the nation – better than most states.
New York and New Jersey, which followed Fauci's lockdown playbook to the letter, posted death rates that were far uglier.
Americans voted with their feet: Florida recorded the largest annual net in-migration of any state between July 2020 and July 2021, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
People were leaving Fauci's America and moving to DeSantis's Florida.
The Man Who Said He Was the Science
DeSantis put it plainly on Fox News Monday.
Fauci "liked the fact that he had a lot of this informal power when he was issuing these recommendations and telling governors and mayors to do some of the draconian things that were done."
That's the real story here.
This wasn't about public health.
This was about a bureaucrat who suddenly found himself the most famous person in America – with the power to shut down entire economies and tell elected officials what to do.
And he liked it.
Fauci literally told the country, "I am the science. If you disagree with me, you disagree with science."
He said that in public, on camera, while his private diary showed him writing in June 2020 – just months in – that something was "insidiously keeping the outbreak alive" and his policies weren't stopping it.
While New York kids sat home on Zoom and learned nothing, Florida kids were in classrooms.
While blue-state businesses were boarded up and dead, Florida's restaurants were packed.
While Fauci was flying to Florida to trash DeSantis on local TV, DeSantis was setting up monoclonal antibody clinics across the state and treating sick Floridians.
When the bill finally came due last week, Fauci sat under oath in front of the United States Senate and refused to defend a single word he wrote.
The man had four years to prepare his defense.
He didn't have one.
