Law enforcement officers put their lives on the line to keep Americans safe.
But not everyone has their back.
And when Kamala Harris shared her position on law enforcement Ron DeSantis shook his head in disbelief.
Kamala wants to defund the police
What does Kamala Harris think about the police?
It depends on the day.
When Black Lives Matter terrorists were destroying American cities and burning them to the ground, Kamala was on their side.
She insisted the movement to “defund the police” was righteous and accused cities of “militarizing police.”
“This whole movement is about rightly saying, we need to take a look at these budgets and figure out whether it reflects the right priorities, Harris said in 2020 on Ebro in the Morning, a New-York radio program.
The right priorities?
Is allowing out-of-control thugs to burn cities to the ground and rob local businesses the “right priority?”
Clearly not.
For most Americans, paying law enforcement officers a decent salary and equipping them with the resources to deploy to crime-ridden areas and stop the lawlessness is the real priority.
At least it should be.
Kamala the chameleon
During a 2020 interview on The View, Kamala again had the “bright idea” to divert resources away from law enforcement and pay for social programs instead.
Proving how out-of-touch she was with reality, Kamala declared “In many cities in America, over one third of their city budget goes to police. So, we have to have this conversation. What are we doing? What about the money going to social services?”
Ridiculous.
Kamala interprets economics the same way Biden does, she has no idea how to budget and spend or prioritize.
To suggest taking money away from law enforcement to fund “social programs” is foolish.
Criminals would love it though!
Despite Kamala’s multiple comments knocking police she had a sudden change of heart.
At least in public.
When Joe Biden tapped her to be his vice-presidential choice in 2020, Kamala realized she had to walk back her support of the “defund the police” movement.
After all, surely Biden realized he could not win the moderate vote with a radical leftist running mate backing criminals instead of police officers.
To enact damage control, Kamala’s former Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said, “Joe Biden and Kamala Harris do not support defunding the police, and it is a lie to suggest otherwise,” CNN reported.
Singh continued “Throughout her career, Sen. Harris has supported increasing funding to police departments and boosting funding for community policing.”
Typical.
Kamala says an outrageous statement, she is called out by conservatives, and then she gaslights the American people claiming she never said that, and everyone is lying about her.
Poor, poor Kamala.
DeSantis never wavered
Unlike Kamala, Ron DeSantis believes in funding the police, and he has never backed down from his position.
“We’ve stood for this being a noble profession. We want to support the folks who are protecting us,” DeSantis said back in 2022 after announcing a $5,000 bonus for newly-employed law enforcement officers.
And earlier this year, DeSantis signed legislation to protect law enforcement officers stating, “While blue states vilify and defund the police, Florida will continue to be the friendliest state in the nation towards our law enforcement community.”
But make no mistake, if elected President, Kamala will make America less safe with her radical leftist views.
While she is busy funding “social programs”, illegals will continue to spill across the border and criminals will roam wild in the streets.
