Ron DeSantis Destroyed Barack Obama With Four Words After His DOJ Lecture

May 12, 2026

The man who weaponized the FBI against a sitting president just gave America a lecture on DOJ independence.

Now Ron DeSantis handed him four words that left him nowhere to go.

And when you see what Obama said right before DeSantis posted them, the hypocrisy becomes something else entirely.

The Nerve Takes Real Audacity

Barack Obama sat down with Stephen Colbert this week and told America that attorneys general should be "the people's lawyer and not the president's consigliere."

He said politicizing the Justice Department poses an "existential threat to the United States."

He said, "We can survive a lot… we can't overcome the politicization of the criminal justice system."

Every word of it delivered with a straight face.

DeSantis posted four words on X: "The Russia collusion hoax would like a word."

Because Obama didn't just fail to prevent DOJ politicization – he directed it.

In 2016, his FBI opened a counterintelligence investigation into Donald Trump's presidential campaign.

After years of surveillance and a full special counsel probe, Robert Mueller concluded the Trump campaign had not conspired or coordinated with the Russian government.

They found nothing.

And kept going anyway.

Tulsi Gabbard Put Names to What Happened

In July 2025, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard released findings that made everything explicit.

Obama directed the January 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment – the document used to justify the entire Russia investigation.

Gabbard's office said the evidence was "irrefutable" that Obama and his national security team shaped that assessment around a conclusion they already knew was wrong, then presented it to the country as fact.

Her office called it "what was essentially a years-long coup against the duly elected President of the United States."

That's the Director of National Intelligence. Not a pundit. Not a campaign surrogate.

Obama used the machinery of the Justice Department to undermine his successor's presidency before it started.

He's now on television demanding that future administrations keep Justice out of politics.

The Wingman Who Wants You to Forget

Eric Holder, Obama's first attorney general, once called himself Obama's "wingman" at a congressional hearing. On the record. In public.

That's not "the people's lawyer."

That's a confession.

And Holder is just the opening act.

Behind him is the Russia investigation, the discredited Intelligence Community Assessment, and four years of a sitting president under siege from a government his predecessor built and weaponized.

Mueller came up empty. The predicate was false.

Billions in taxpayer money and the better part of a presidential term – gone.

Now the man who set all of it in motion is on Stephen Colbert's couch warning America about DOJ independence.

They don't want norms back.

They want the power back.
