Ron DeSantis said four words that Californians will never hear come from Gavin Newsom’s mouth

Ron DeSantis recently attended the first day of the Florida State Fair where he briefly addressed the crowd.

DeSantis opened by pointing out the wide variety of food offerings available at the State Fair.

But then Ron DeSantis said four words that Californians will never hear come from Gavin Newsom’s mouth.

Hundreds of thousands of Floridians attend the annual Florida State Fair to enjoy the “thrills, entertainment, fried food, and more.”

The State Fair recently kicked off in Tampa with Commissioner Wilton Simpson “flipping the switch” alongside Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis, the Hernando County sheriff, and local first responders.

Governor Ron DeSantis also attended the opening of the fair and delivered brief remarks to the crowd of attendees.

DeSantis expressed his family’s excitement for trying some of the wide variety of food that is offered at the State Fair.

“So, I’m gonna do Florida quesadilla, and we know that there’s a lot of classics that will be at the fair, the turkey legs, deep fried Oreos, elephant ears, as well as the great exhibits, the entertainment and the rides,” DeSantis said. “I’m going to be doing a little bit of a spin with my two oldest here, and we’re looking forward to being able to do that,” he continued. “And I think it’s going to be very, very successful.”

But then DeSantis reminded the crowd of some important facts about how Florida compares to Democrat-led states like California.

According to the Governor, Florida has the lowest debt per capita in the nation.

While other states are raising taxes, Florida is lowering its debt and cutting taxes.

“In 10, 15, 20, 25 years, I think we’re built to do very well over this period of time,” DeSantis said. “As long as we continue sound leadership.”

DeSantis told the crowd “we’re in good shape” compared to the rest of the country.

“You know, as the Commissioner mentioned, we’re in good shape in the state of Florida,” he said. “You know, I look around the country and I’ve got a chance to visit some other places, and there’s some states that are struggling,” he continued. “We’re doing very, very well.”

The exact opposite is true in California.

Democrats are running up the debt and attempting to pay for it with tax hikes.

Homelessness and crime have become a major issue in San Francisco and Los Angeles.

And Californians will never hear Gavin Newsom say, “We’re in good shape.”
