Florida Senate candidate Angie Nixon went on CNN and told the anchor she wants her Republican opponent locked up in prison.
That was bad enough – then Ashley Moody showed the country what hangs on the walls of Nixon’s Jacksonville bookstore.
What Ashley Moody revealed on Fox News should follow Angie Nixon into every voting booth in Florida on November 3.
What Hangs on Angie Nixon’s Wall
Angie Nixon’s Jacksonville bookstore, Cafe Resistance, has a wall dedicated to Assata Shakur and other figures from the black power movement of the 1960s and ’70s.
Shakur is not a controversial historical figure.
She is a convicted murderer.
In 1973, Shakur and members of the Black Liberation Army were stopped on the New Jersey Turnpike.
State Trooper Werner Foerster – a Vietnam War veteran – was shot and killed.
Shakur was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life plus 26 to 33 years.

She escaped from prison in 1979 and fled to Cuba, where she spent her final years as a fugitive from American justice.
The FBI listed her as one of its Most Wanted Terrorists.
Trooper Foerster’s widow, Rosie, and his son, Eric, never got the same luxury of living out their days in peace.
Nixon did not put Shakur on the wall by accident.
When confronted directly at a campaign event, Nixon said she stands by “everything in this bookstore.”
She added a sign next to the wall reading “history is not always good” – which is apparently the closest thing to an apology she intends to offer the Foerster family.
The Woman Who Wants to Replace Ashley Moody
Nixon is a self-described Democratic Socialist and member of the DSA – a group whose platform calls for defunding police departments and tearing down the prison system.
On that last point, Nixon drew a distinction this week.
She told CNN she doesn’t want to abolish prisons – “because I want Ashley Moody in one of them.”
CNN anchor Kasie Hunt pressed her directly: does she want her Republican opponent imprisoned?
Nixon confirmed it.
“The fact remains that Ashley Moody is a lying, cheating, thieving, scamming person who basically took $10 million from sick kids for the Medicaid program. And she rerouted that into two political slush funds for Ron DeSantis to defeat two citizen-led ballot initiatives,” Nixon told CNN host Kasie Hunt.
“I want her locked up and punished in jail for what she has done,” she added.

Think about what just happened.
A candidate for the United States Senate went on national television and said she wants to jail her political opponent for the crime of being a Republican.
Then she went home to a bookstore with a wall honoring a woman who murdered a cop and ran from justice for the rest of her life.
Moody appeared on The Faulkner Focus Thursday and didn’t back down.
“My opponent quotes the Communist Manifesto and cop killers,” Moody said. “She runs a bookstore called Cafe Resistance and has a shrine to people who have killed law enforcement.”
“I’m the wife of a law enforcement officer. Most people think that is crazy what they’re espousing, what she’s promoting,” she added.
What Florida Is Actually Choosing on November 3
Nixon is not some fringe protest candidate who wandered into this race.
She won the Democrat Senate primary by 12 points.
More than 705,000 Florida Democrats voted for her.

She brought Bernie Sanders, AOC, Chris Murphy, and Rashida Tlaib down to campaign for her.
And that coalition celebrates Assata Shakur, wants to defund the police, and apparently believes the proper use of American prisons is to lock up Republican senators.
Moody spent her career as a federal prosecutor, a judge, and Florida’s attorney general.
Nixon spent hers celebrating the people Moody put away.
Florida has been called the firewall for freedom.
On November 3, it gets to prove it.
