Democrats and the corporate-controlled press have used Ron DeSantis as a political punching bag for more than two years.
But that hasn’t stopped DeSantis from surging.
And Ron DeSantis just hit the top spot in one category that will keep the Democrats up late at night.
Ron DeSantis is considered a top contender for the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary.
Polls consistently show that if Donald Trump decides not to run for President, Ron DeSantis is the clear frontrunner to win the GOP nomination.
However, before he considers running for President, Ron DeSantis must first get re-elected to a second term as Governor this fall.
Agricultural Commissioner Nikki Fried and Congressman Charlie Crist are the two Democrats running for the chance to try to unseat DeSantis in November.
After DeSantis made a bold decision during the pandemic to reject Biden’s lockdowns and mandates and instead pursue a pro-freedom agenda, Florida now outpaces the nation in jobs, economic growth, new business formations, and tourism.
The state government also enjoys a record budget surplus thanks to DeSantis’ leadership.
DeSantis is currently leading both Fried and Crist by a sizable margin in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup.
But DeSantis has a much larger goal than just getting re-elected to a second term.
He set a goal of winning by such a large margin to turn Florida into a solid red state.
And the bad news for Democrats is that fundraising data shows DeSantis is on track to achieve his goal this fall.
According to the latest financial reports, Friends of Ron DeSantis, the Political Action Committee of the Florida Governor, brought in $3.61 million between June 1 and June 24.
With more than $115 million dollars raised so far for his re-election efforts, DeSantis is shattering national fundraising records as he seeks a second term.
DeSantis is now the number one fundraiser in state politics in all of America for the 2022 election cycle.
DeSantis’ record-breaking fundraising haul dwarfs both of his potential Democrat opponents.
With only $11 million raised, Charlie Crist is leading the Democrat field in fundraising.
Crist is also leading Fried by double-digits in the polls ahead of the August Primary.
But while Crist and Fried are fighting with each other and struggling to raise money, Ron DeSantis is breaking fundraising records and surging in popularity at the same time.
If DeSantis keeps up the pace, he will likely achieve his goal of turning Florida into a solid red state after November.
And that is a thought that keeps Democrats up late at night.
