Donald Trump and Joe Biden are gearing up for a rematch of the 2020 Presidential election.
But third-party candidates are a factor this time around.
And Ron DeSantis revealed the disturbing truth about Robert Kennedy Jr.’s Vice Presidential running mate.
Joe Biden’s approval ratings are in the tank, and polls show him losing to Donald Trump both nationally and in the key battleground states.
Democrats were already in panic mode over the real possibility of third-party candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. siphoning off votes from Biden and helping Donald Trump.
But at an event last week in Oakland, California, Robert Kennedy Jr. announced that he had chosen Nicole Shanahan as his Vice Presidential running mate.
Shanahan is an attorney and philanthropist with deep ties to the tech world in Silicon Valley.
“Shanahan leads the Bia-Echo Foundation, an organization she founded to direct money toward issues including women’s reproductive science, criminal justice reform and environmental causes,” the AP reported. “She also is a Stanford University fellow and was the founder and chief executive of ClearAccessIP, a patent management firm that was sold in 2020.”
She was previously married to Google co-founder, Sergey Brin.
In his announcement, Kennedy Jr. said that “Nicole and I both left the Democratic Party,” before adding that “our values didn’t change – the Democratic Party did.”
Robert Kennedy Jr. choosing a left-wing activist as his running mate left Democrats in a state of panic and had conservatives cheering.
“RFK Jr. is the most Radical Left Candidate in the race, by far,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “His running mate, Nicole Shanahan, is even more ‘Liberal’ than him, if that’s possible,” Trump continued. “Kennedy is a Radical Left Democrat, and always will be!!!”
“He is Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent, not mine,” Trump added. “I love that he is running!”
During an interview with Newsmax, Ron DeSantis also chimed in and offered his thoughts on Kennedy Jr.’s selection for a running mate.
And DeSantis and Trump came to the same conclusion about Shanahan.
“Well, it’s certainly an indication that his instincts are Left, and I think people have known that,” DeSantis said. “I think he’s made an effort to try to appear more in the center, but as you know, when you’re underwriting the campaign of somebody like George Gascon in LA, one of the most notorious George Soros progressive Left prosecutors, when you underwrite all these very left-wing causes, you know, those are actions that speak louder than words.”
Kennedy and Shanahan may sound “reasonable,” but DeSantis pointed out that all voters have to do is look at their track record to see they are radical leftists.
“So, a candidate, a Vice President can go up and start saying things that sound reasonable, but you look at that track record, I think that’s going to strike a lot of voters as being very far Left,” DeSantis said. “And, you know, I think most voters that are disenchanted with Joe Biden, think he’s been too far Left,” he continued. “We don’t need to go further Left than that.”
Kennedy Jr.’s Independent bid could help put Donald Trump back in the White House for a final term.
