Parents were shocked to learn why police arrested two 10-year-old boys at this elementary school in Florida

Police in LaBelle, Florida, received a call last Wednesday about “a suspicious incident” on campus at an elementary school.

Administrators placed Country Oaks Elementary School on lockdown until police arrived on the scene.

And parents were shocked to learn why police arrested two 10-year-old boys at this elementary school in Florida.

Schools are supposed to be a safe place for children to learn how to read, write, and do basic arithmetic.

But these days, America’s government schools have turned into everything but an educational environment.

Children are indoctrinated with the Left’s woke ideology in classrooms across the country.

They are taught that America is an inherently evil and racist nation and must be torn down and rebuilt.

But it is not just the woke ideology that parents are concerned about in American classrooms.

There is also the threat of harm.

And the arrest of two 10-year-olds at an elementary school in Florida shows just how dangerous schools can be for kids these days.

“Two 10-year-old students were arrested in connection with a gun sold at their elementary school in Florida,” NBC News reported. “A deputy’s son ‘agreed to exchange a handgun, (later found to belong to his deceased father), for a sum of $300’ back in February.”

According to the police report, deputies responded to a phone call about “a suspicious incident” on campus.

Once on the scene, police interviewed the two 10-year-olds who admitted they agreed to exchange a handgun for $300.

“After finding ammunition in 10-year-old Carlos Santos Madrid’s backpack, a series of events began to unfold,” the police report read. “It was learned that during the first part of February, 10-year-old Jaiden Diego Escobedo agreed to exchange a handgun, (later found to belong to his deceased father), for a sum of $300.00,” the report continued. “The firearm was later located in Madrid’s backyard under a shed.”

But police found more than just the firearm.

They also discovered 74 grams of cannabis in a bag next to the gun.

“Madrid was arrested and charged with Sale/Purchase of a Firearm by a Minor, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Minor, Possession of a Firearm on School Property and Possession of Marijuana over 20 grams,” the police report added. “Escobedo was arrested and charged with Selling of a Firearm to a Minor, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Minor, Possession of a Firearm on School Property and Grand Theft of a Firearm.”

Hendry County Superintendent Michael Swindle called the situation “heartbreaking.”

“We focus on education, but society has gotten us to a place where we don’t know what led us to this in this child’s life, but this is a very sad situation,” he said.

This is just the latest example of why parents should do everything they can to keep their children far away from government schools.
