Attorney General Ashley Moody just scored a victory in court against Joe Biden’s border crisis

The situation at the border is out of control.

Polls show illegal immigration is now the top issue for voters heading into November.

And Attorney General Ashley Moody just scored a victory in court against Joe Biden’s border crisis.

On his first day in office, Joe Biden made it a priority to reverse the successful border security measures put in place by Donald Trump’s administration.

Biden ended construction on the border wall, reversed the Remain in Mexico Protocols, and brought back the dangerous policy of catch and release.

As a result of Biden’s open borders agenda, record breaking numbers of illegal immigrants are entering the country daily.

According to estimates from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), more than 6.2 million illegal immigrants have entered the country since Joe Biden took office in January of 2021.

This illegal immigrant population is nearly twice the annual American birth rate.

Since Joe Biden refuses to enforce immigration laws, several GOP officials have taken action to protect their states from the border crisis.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has been front and center in the news after he authorized local law enforcement and the National Guard to help secure the border.

Abbott is currently in a feud with the Biden administration over Border Patrol agents being ordered to cut down the razor wire Texas officials installed at the border in Eagle Pass.

But Abbott is not the only one pushing back on Joe Biden over the border.

In Florida, Attorney General Ashley Moody has been engaged in lawsuits against the Biden administration for refusing to enforce immigration laws.

Moody filed a federal lawsuit last year against Biden’s effort to keep the southern border wide open, and federal judge T. Kent Wetherell agreed and ruled that the Biden administration was responsible for the border crisis.

The Biden administration filed an appeal in federal court, but on Tuesday the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida handed Moody a victory over the Biden administration.

The court filing noted that if the policies were not previously enjoined, there would “likely be hundreds of thousands more aliens in the country on ‘parole’ but not in any sort of immigration proceedings.”

The ruling stated that the Biden administration’s policies likely “would have further exacerbated the harm to Florida,” which means that Florida has Constitutional standing to challenge Biden’s parole policies for immigration.

“We are pleased that the court, yet again, found that Biden’s illegal policies are causing harm to the state of Florida, and we look forward to defending our victory in the appellate court,” Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody said.

The case will now head to the appellate court.

Even though the battle is far from over, this ruling is a big win for proponents of securing the border and enforcing immigration laws.
