Florida dominated one important ranking that left Gavin Newsom feeling sick

Florida has become the model for the rest of the nation under the leadership of Ron DeSantis.

The Sunshine State is one of the best places to live and work.

And Florida dominated one important ranking that left Gavin Newsom feeling sick.

Florida cities dominate a list of best places to start a business

The Sunshine State has some of the best cities in the country to start a business, according to a new study.

Personal finance company WalletHub analyzed 19 different criteria, including labor costs, affordable office space, and five-year business survival rate, for the major criteria in the study’s methodology.

“In order to determine the best cities for launching a business, WalletHub compared 100 cities, across three key dimensions: 1) Business Environment, 2) Access to Resources and 3) Business Costs,” WalletHub wrote.

Their study found that four of the top five cities in the country to start a business were in Florida.

Orlando and Tampa finished first and second on the list.

Charlotte, North Carolina, Jacksonville, and Miami rounded out the top five.

The Florida cities’ high ranking was attributed to a favorable business environment and low corporate taxes.

California cities like San Jose, San Francisco, and Oakland finished in the bottom quarter of the WalletHub rankings.

“Starting a business can be very scary, considering one in every five startups doesn’t make it past the first year,” WalletHub analyst Cassandra Happe said. “That’s why it’s especially important to live in a city that provides an environment where new businesses can thrive, with enough capital, workers, and customers to keep it going long-term.”

The pandemic, followed by the sluggish Biden economy marred by high inflation, has made it difficult for new businesses to succeed.

Florida, with its low taxes and business-friendly environment, has been able to help entrepreneurs thrive.

Florida’s economy is succeeding under Ron DeSantis

While some states are still struggling to recover from the self-inflicted economic damage caused by lockdowns and other draconian pandemic policies, Florida has become a national leader in economic growth.

Florida’s economy has become a success despite the headwinds from the Biden economy.

To start 2024, the Sunshine State had private sector job growth that was double the national average, while layoffs began to rise around the country.

“Florida has started off the year strong by growing jobs at twice the national average,” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis said in March. “Florida continuously outperforms the national economy with fiscal stewardship, growth friendly policies, limited government spending, and one of the lowest tax burdens per capita in the nation.”

Ron DeSantis has helped create an economic climate in Florida where businesses can flourish.
