Gavin Newsom was fuming after this fact confirmed that he’s losing to Florida

A rivalry is underway between California and Florida about which model of governance is best.

The numbers reveal who is the clear winner in the contest.

And Gavin Newsom was fuming after this fact confirmed that he is losing to Florida.

California Governor Gavin Newsom picked a fight with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis that culminated in a Fox News debate moderated by Sean Hannity.

The showdown was billed as a faceoff between the two states’ vastly different policies.

Newsom tried to claim that California had the upper hand over Florida, but the numbers reveal the truth.

Florida county has the most people moving to it

According to U.S. Census Bureau estimates, more people moved to Polk County, Florida, than any other county in the nation last year.

The county is strategically located between Orlando and Tampa on the I-4 highway.

Over 29,300 people moved to the county last year, which has lower housing costs than the metro areas on either side of it.

Polk County has become a major distribution center because of its proximity to Orlando and Tampa.

Of the people moving in, 88% came from other states.

This comes at a time when many areas are seeing their population growth driven by illegal immigration from President Joe Biden’s border crisis.

“Subdivision growth has been springing up and it happens in such a manner that you don’t always notice it. But when you are stuck in traffic, that’s when you really pay attention that it’s going on,” seventh-generation Polk County resident Matt Joyner said about the growth.

The county is also one of the largest citrus fruit growing areas in Florida, with over 62,000 acres under production.

Only four counties in the country had more population growth then Polk, but these were driven by births.

Harris and Montgomery counties in the Houston, Texas area, Collin County in suburban Dallas, Texas, and Maricopa County, Arizona, which is Phoenix.

Harris County grew by more than 50,000 people last year, which was the most in the nation.

Los Angeles County losing residents according to Census estimates

Los Angeles County lost 56,000 people last year, which was tops in the nation, according to the Census Bureau.

Three counties in New York City—Bronx County, Kings County (Brooklyn), and Queen Counties—lost more than 75,000 residents combined.

New York City officials believe the Census estimates did not include the growing number of illegal aliens that have overrun the city.

The city is housing at least 50,000 illegal aliens.

“We wanted to flag it,” New York Department of City Planning Press Secretary Casey Berkovitz said. “Once you account for this underestimate … the year marked a return to pre-pandemic levels.”

Americans are voting with their feet and Florida is coming out the big winner under Ron DeSantis.
