A Canadian man voted in seven American elections while a Biden-appointed judge tries to kill the database that caught him.
Florida caught him anyway – and now the whole country can see exactly what that judge is protecting.
Here is what that ruling actually cost your vote.
The Canadian Who Voted Seven Times in Your Elections
Giorgio Dominique Mucelli, 66, has lived in Melbourne, Florida as a Canadian citizen with a green card for decades.
He is not an American.
He voted in 2004, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2020, 2022, and 2024 anyway.
When Florida officials confronted him, he lied and said he never voted.
Then investigators showed him the evidence – and he admitted he knew he was ineligible.
He said voting felt like "the right thing to do."

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier charged Mucelli Thursday with voting by a non-citizen elector and false affirmation – both third-degree felonies carrying up to 10 years in prison.
"Florida will not allow non-citizens to steal the vote of Americans at the ballot box," Uthmeier said.
The tool that caught Mucelli was the federal SAVE database – the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements system – which cross-references immigration records against voter rolls.
Florida, Iowa, Indiana, and Ohio cut a deal with the Trump administration in December 2025 to use SAVE for exactly this purpose.
It worked.
The Biden Judge Fighting to Stop It
Here is the problem.
Biden-appointed U.S. District Judge Sparkle Sooknanan of Washington, D.C. issued a 75-page ruling on June 22 blocking DHS from letting most states access the upgraded SAVE database.
She called the system an illegal privacy violation and wrote that "the federal government has knowingly trampled on the privacy rights of American citizens."
She blocked it weeks before the 2026 midterms.
The League of Women Voters brought the lawsuit – and Sooknanan handed them exactly what they wanted.

Uthmeier called her out directly: "Her activist ruling makes it harder to verify citizenship and slows our ability to hold aliens accountable for stealing votes in Florida elections."
He is right.
Because of her ruling, DHS disabled the SAVE database's bulk-search and Social Security number lookup features – the exact tools that found Mucelli.
Florida sued immediately.
And a different federal judge – U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell II, a Trump appointee in the Northern District of Florida – ordered DHS to restore SAVE access to Florida and the three other states with active settlement agreements.

What Judge Sooknanan Is Actually Protecting
Think about what it took to catch Giorgio Mucelli.
Florida had to negotiate a separate federal agreement, build an Election Crime Unit, run his name through a federal database that one judge in Washington just tried to shut down, confront him, catch him lying, and then charge him – all to stop one man from voting illegally seven times.
That is the system working at full capacity.
And Democrats want to shut it down.
The DOJ has roughly 90 more cases under active investigation right now – in Hawaii, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, Louisiana, and Washington, D.C.
Every single one of those cases depends on tools Sooknanan just tried to kill for the rest of the country.
In North Carolina, a Canadian man nearly identical to Mucelli was sentenced to two months in prison after pleading guilty to the same scheme – false citizenship claims dating back to 2004.

Mucelli's case is not a fluke.
It is an early result from a database that most states still cannot fully access – because a Biden judge decided protecting foreign nationals on voter rolls was more important than protecting your ballot.
Mucelli renewed his green card in April 2023 – one year before casting an illegal vote in a presidential election.
He had every opportunity to become a citizen through legal channels.
He chose to vote instead.
And a Biden judge is working overtime to make sure the next Mucelli never gets caught.
