Democrats realized they’re in big trouble after Ron DeSantis broke this one record

Mar 7, 2022

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is facing his first gubernatorial re-election in November.

Polls show DeSantis leading both potential Democrat opponents in a head-to-head matchup.

But Democrats realized they’re in big trouble after Ron DeSantis broke this one record.

Aside from Donald Trump, there is no Republican more hated by the Left than Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.

Democrats are terrified of Ron DeSantis after he rose to rock star status for his pro-freedom policies during the pandemic.

And if Donald Trump decides not to run for President again in 2024, polls also show that Ron DeSantis would be the clear frontrunner for the GOP nomination.

However, before he can focus on potentially running for President in 2024, Ron DeSantis has to first get re-elected for another term as Governor in November.

Former Governor Charlie Crist and Agricultural Commissioner Nikki Fried are the top two Democrats seeking the opportunity to take on DeSantis this fall.

A recent poll by the University of North Florida shows DeSantis would handily beat both Crist and Fried in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup.

The poll showed DeSantis beating Crist 55% to 34% and Fried 55% to 32% in a head-to-head matchup.

Of course, polling data is often wrong.

That’s why political experts and analysts often look at a candidate’s fundraising numbers to try to gauge the accuracy of the poll.

And when it comes to Ron DeSantis, his fundraising numbers show the polls to be accurate, as DeSantis is massively outraising his Democrat opponents.

“Campaign finance filings show Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who’s running for re-election, raised just over $67 million in 2021 — totaling more in a single year than 2020 and 2019 combined,” reported.

Overall, DeSantis is approaching the $100 million dollar mark for fundraising, which is a bad sign for Democrats in November.

“Along with $10 million in contributions from the beginning of this year, DeSantis has raised almost $87 million overall for his 2022 re-election bid compared to the roughly $60 million he raised for his 2018 campaign,” wrote.

For comparison, Charlie Crist, who raised the highest amount amongst the Democrat candidates, only raised a total of $5 million in 2021.

And Democrat Nikki Fried only raised $2.4 million in 2021.

Ron DeSantis has already raised $10 million this year alone, which is more than both his Democrat opponents raised in all of 2021.

Even though the election isn’t until November, Ron DeSantis’ rising poll numbers and strong fundraising has most experts predicting him to cruise to an easy re-election in November.
