Ron DeSantis is facing his first re-election for Governor in November.
With the Midterm elections only a few months out, Democrats are growing more desperate by the day with their attacks against DeSantis.
But no one expected Democrat Nikki Fried to make this outrageous claim about Ron DeSantis running for President in 2024.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is wildly popular with Republican voters across the country, with polls showing him as the clear frontrunner for the GOP nomination if Donald Trump decides not to run for President again in 2024.
However, Ron DeSantis maintains his position that he is not even thinking about running for President.
DeSantis says right now his only concern is serving the people of Florida to the best of his ability and getting elected to a second term in November.
But that hasn’t stopped his potential Democrat opponents from claiming otherwise.
DeSantis recently issued a veto that blocked a move that would have called for a review of concealed weapon permits.
As Commissioner of Agriculture, Nikki Fried is in charge of issuing concealed carry permits to Florida residents.
In an email to supporters, Nikki Fried attacked Ron DeSantis for vetoing wasteful spending, claiming that he only did it for political gain ahead of a national Presidential run.
After pointing out that her office suspended 36 concealed weapons permits of people who entered the Capitol on January 6, Fried accused Ron DeSantis of “wanting the support of violent, white supremacist insurrectionists when he runs for President in 2024.”
Nikki Fried also smeared Ron DeSantis for allegedly trying to “exercise authoritarian control over Florida women.”
Of course, Fried’s accusations are so extreme that they’re almost laughable.
But the fact that she’s throwing every left-wing attack in the book against Ron DeSantis – calling him a “racist” and “sexist” – only shows that Democrats know they have little to no chance of defeating DeSantis this fall.
Polls consistently show Ron DeSantis’ approval ratings are increasing.
The same polls show DeSantis beating both of his potential Democrat opponents by nine or more points in a head-to-head matchup.
DeSantis is also crushing the Democrats in fundraising, bringing in more than $115 million so far for his re-election efforts.
With time running out for Democrats, their attacks and smears against DeSantis will likely get worse over the next few months.
But Ron DeSantis will keep fighting and winning battles against the Left.
And voters will reward him for it at the ballot box in November by electing him to a second term as Governor.
