Globalists want to stop Americans from eating meat
Meat is in the crosshairs of the global elite for being a major contributor to climate change.
The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization announced at the COP28 climate change conference last December that Americans needed to eat less meat to reduce greenhouse gases.
Data from the United Nations claims that livestock is responsible for 14.5% of global greenhouse emissions.
Former Biden Climate Envoy John Kerry breathlessly claimed that “lives depended” on lowering the greenhouse gases produced by agriculture.
“A lot of people have no clue that agriculture contributes about 33% of all the emissions of the world,” Kerry said. “We can’t get to net zero, we don’t get this job done unless agriculture is front and center as part of the solution. So, all of us understand here the depths of this mission.”
Fake meat made from plants has been pushed as a substitute for the real thing.
Plant-based meat is sold as the more ethical and green choice for consumers.
Beyond Meat became a darling of Wall Street when it became the first plant-based meat to go public.
Fast food chains like Subway, White Castle, Burger King, and Little Caesar’s began featuring planet-based meats on their menus.
It appeared that this fake meat was gaining a foothold with the public.
Plant-based meat fizzling out with the American public
The Good Food Institute, a group that promotes plant and lab-created meat, released a report that found plant-based meat’s popularity is declining with the American public.
Plant-based meat and seafood sales decline for the second straight year.
And the number of Americans trying these fake meats has also dipped.
“Plant-based meat sales declined more sharply than plant-based food sales overall,” the Good Food Institute Report stated. “And surveys of lapsed consumers showed that plant-based meat products are largely not meeting consumer expectations, particularly in regard to taste, texture, and price.”
People try plant-based meat, realize it is awful, and go back to the real thing.
The report whined that its falling popularity could be blamed on “funding constraints, scaling complexities, and a rise in misinformation and disinformation.”
It added that Americans could be “more willing to eat plant-based meat if it tasted better, became more affordable, and overall provided a clear value.”
Beyond Meat saw its stock plummet from a high of $186.83 per share in 2021 to less than $7 currently.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill to outlaw the sale of lab-grown meat from animal cells in the Sunshine State recently.
He called out the World Economic Forum for trying to control Americans when he signed the bill.
“Global elites want to control our behavior and push a diet of petri dish meat and bugs on Americans,” DeSantis said. “Florida is saying no.”
The globalists want Americans to sacrifice their standard of living to fight climate change while they live high on the hog.
