Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is fighting to protect the Sunshine State from the massive illegal immigration crisis facing the country.
But it’s no longer just Joe Biden and the Democrats who are furious with DeSantis.
That’s because Ron DeSantis just made a move against Joe Biden’s border crisis that sent Mexican President Andrés Obrador into a fit of rage.
The situation at the border is out of control, as record-breaking numbers of illegal aliens are entering the country on a daily basis.
With Joe Biden and the Democrats refusing to even admit there is a crisis, some Republican Governors are stepping up and taking action at the state level against illegal immigration.
One of those Republican Governors is Ron DeSantis.
DeSantis recently signed legislation into law with reforms that include penalties for transporting illegal aliens into the state, requires more companies to use E-Verify, adds more money for an illegal immigration transportation program, and increases penalties for human smuggling.
The legislation also included $12 million to pay for flying illegal aliens out of the state.
DeSantis set off a firestorm last year when he flew two planes carrying 50 illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard.
The Democrats and their media allies attacked and smeared him, with some even demanding Merrick Garland lock him up for kidnapping.
But it’s no longer just the leftists in America who are fuming with DeSantis.
On the day before his scheduled phone call with Joe Biden, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador called DeSantis “immoral” and accused him of “politicking” on illegal immigration.
“Why does [DeSantis] have to take advantage of people’s pain, of migrants’ pain, of people’s need for political gain,” López Obrador said at a press conference. “This is immoral,” he continued, before adding that “this is politicking.”
He then accused DeSantis of only fighting against illegal immigration because he “wants to be a candidate.”
“Now I found out that the Florida Governor — imagine, Florida, which is full of migrants — is taking repressive, inhumane measures against migrants in Florida because he wants to be a candidate,” López Obrador said. “Can’t he not make another proposal to convince people?”
López Obrador attacked Republican Governors like DeSantis and Gregg Abbott in Texas for sending illegal aliens to Democrat-run cities.
“Then, in an inhumane, vulgar and vile way, they started to take migrants while it was cold to New York, to Washington, to the Vice President’s house,” López Obrador said. “The Republicans did this . . . something that degrades them from a moral, human point of view.”
The Mexican President praised Joe Biden and admitted he was excited about their phone call on Tuesday.
“We will talk about our cooperation, which is very good, very, very good, and we will keep it that way,” López Obrador said.
Biden’s border crisis is out of control.
Ron DeSantis is doing everything he can to protect his state from the disaster.
And López Obrador is not happy about it.
