Ron DeSantis is officially running for President.
All hell is about to break loose in the Republican Primary.
But Ron DeSantis’ political team just put Donald Trump on notice about the battle for the GOP nomination.
After months of anticipation, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has launched his 2024 White House bid.
Although Nikki Haley, Tim Scott, Vivek Ramaswamy, Asa Hutchinson, and a few other candidates are in the race, DeSantis is the only Republican who most believe has a real shot at defeating Trump for the GOP nomination.
DeSantis catapulted into the national spotlight during the pandemic when he turned Florida into an “oasis of freedom” by rejecting Biden and Fauci’s lockdowns and mandates.
But DeSantis hit rock star status in the Republican Party for his willingness to take on and win against the radical Left, especially the woke insanity that is sweeping the country.
Of course, Donald Trump did not wait around for DeSantis to enter the race to start attacking him.
Trump started hitting the Governor before the Midterm elections by referring to him as “Ron DeSanctimonious.”
But Trump recently went beyond nicknames and launched a full-scale attack on DeSantis.
Fox News previously reported that Donald Trump attacked DeSantis far more than he did Joe Biden on his Truth Social platform.
And according to a recent report, the Super PAC supporting Donald Trump just broke a record for ongoing expenditures in a Republican Primary against a non-candidate.
“Donald Trump’s MAGA, Inc SuperPAC intensifies its attacks on Ron DeSantis ahead of his likely entry in the presidential race next week, dropping $2.8M on attack ads, bringing their anti-DeSantis spend to $15.3M and blowing past the $15M MAGA, Inc spent on all 2022 midterm races,” Twitter user Rob Pyers wrote.
But DeSantis’ former Press Secretary Bryan Griffin pointed out one truth about the spending that Trump refuses to admit.
Griffin recently left the Governor’s office to head up communications for his campaign.
In a post on Twitter, Griffin shared Pyers’ post and offered his interpretation of the numbers.
“These are the largest ongoing expenditures against a non-candidate in Republican primary history, and that’s all you need to know to draw the obvious conclusion,” Griffin wrote. “@RonDeSantis presents the greatest threat to Donald Trump.”

Griffin made an excellent point.
If Donald Trump didn’t consider DeSantis a threat, he wouldn’t be spending millions of valuable campaign resources attacking him.
Trump clearly recognizes the threat DeSantis poses to him for the GOP nomination.
And that’s why all hell is about to break lose in the GOP Primary.
