It’s been over a week since Florida Governor Ron DeSantis sent two planes carrying 50 illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard.
Democrats are still outraged at DeSantis.
And Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg instantly regretted making one accusation about Ron DeSantis.
Joe Biden’s Presidency unleashed the worst border crisis in American history.
Since Joe Biden’s first day in office, Customs and Border Patrol estimates more than five million illegal aliens have entered the United States.
Of course, the Biden administration refuses to take any action to try to secure the border.
This is why Republican Governors like Ron DeSantis in Florida and Greg Abbott in Texas are stepping up and taking action at the state level against Biden’s border crisis.
Governor Abbott has been sending busloads of illegal aliens to Democrat-controlled “sanctuary cities” like Washington, D.C., Chicago, and New York City.
But Ron DeSantis set off a firestorm when he sent two planes carrying 50 illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard.
Even though the left-wing elites who live at the Vineyard support open borders and claim to be a sanctuary for illegal aliens, they blew a gasket over the two planes sent by DeSantis.
Instead of offering the illegal aliens food and shelter, they called in the National Guard to relocate them to Cape Cod.
DeSantis exposed the Democrats’ hypocrisy on illegal immigration and catapulted Biden’s border crisis to the forefront of the national debate with only six weeks left until the Midterm elections.
This caused Democrats to lash out in response and viciously attack DeSantis, with California Governor Gavin Newsom even calling on Merrick Garland to arrest him for kidnapping.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttitieg became the latest Democrat to attack DeSantis during a speech at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin.
“Obviously, there are issues with the border and with migration, but these are the kinds of stunts you see from people who don’t have a solution,” Buttigieg said.
He then accused DeSantis of using the issue for attention and not offering any solutions to the crisis.
“Like, Governor DeSantis was in Congress,” Butitieg said. “Where was he when they were debating immigration reforms,” he continued before adding, “what have any of these people done to be part of the solution?”
Of course, this is not true.
Ron DeSantis cosponsored numerous pieces of legislation related to immigration and border security during his time in Congress.
In fact, DeSantis cosponsored legislation to build a wall on the southern border, the same wall Joe Biden stopped construction on his first day in office.
Buttigieg also falsely accused DeSantis of deceiving the illegal aliens by tricking them into getting on the flight against their will.
“You flee a communist regime in Venezuela, you come here and then somebody tricks you – somebody using Florida taxpayer money for some reason, tricks you from going from Texas to Massachusetts,” he claimed.
The illegal aliens knew exactly where they were headed on the flight.
They were provided detailed maps of Martha’s Vineyard and even signed consent waivers acknowledging this fact.
Ron DeSantis put the border crisis in the public spotlight with only six weeks left until the elections.
And Democrats are furious over it.
