Christina Pushaw dropped the hammer on Newsweek for spreading this lie about Governor Ron DeSantis

Feb 22, 2024

Ron DeSantis is a top enemy of the left-wing media.

They’re willing to say just about anything if they believe it’ll damage him politically.

And Christina Pushaw just dropped the hammer on Newsweek for spreading this lie about Governor Ron DeSantis.

The corporate-controlled press declared war on Ron DeSantis when he rejected Joe Biden and Anthony Fauci’s COVID mandates and restrictions.

DeSantis ignored the lockdown orders, reopened the state for business, and banned masks and vaccine mandates in Florida.

The press attacked and smeared him every step of the way.

They called him “Ron DeathSantis” and lied about the number of COVID deaths in Florida to try and make him look bad.

The press went full throttle against DeSantis after the pandemic when he aimed his sights at the Left’s woke ideology.

They misnamed a parental rights bill as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill and then proceeded to attack and smear DeSantis as “anti-gay.”

Democrats and the left-wing media then lied about DeSantis wanting to ban books after he removed sexually-inappropriate material from children’s libraries.

Of course, the media’s attacks don’t seem to bother Ron DeSantis.

Not only that, but his staff members do a good job exposing the left-wing media’s lies to the public.

And no one does a better job of this than top DeSantis staffer Christina Pushaw.

Pushaw left the Governor’s office during the Presidential campaign to serve as the rapid response director for Team DeSantis.

But Pushaw just rejoined DeSantis’ team in Tallahassee.

“So happy to be back working with this awesome team,” Pushaw said Tuesday.

And Pushaw, with more than 300,000 followers on X, is already calling out left-wing reporters for spreading lies about the Governor.

“Newsweek is under fire for a story post suggesting that Gov. Ron DeSantis might benefit from legislation progressing through the Florida Legislature giving state officials pay raises, a measure being supported by Republican lawmakers,” Florida’s Voice reported. “The bill includes a raise for Florida’s governor to at least match that of the Florida Supreme Court justices, at over $250,000 – it would take effect after DeSantis leaves office.”

In a post on X, Newsweek linked to an article about the legislation and implied that Ron DeSantis was giving himself a pay raise.

“Florida Republicans push to double Governor’s salary,” Newsweek wrote above a picture of DeSantis linking to the article.

Ron DeSantis currently makes $141,000 per year and leaves office before the bill would even take effect.

Pushaw slammed Newsweek for leaving out this critical fact and using DeSantis as “clickbait.”

“Newsweek is pure clickbait!” Pushaw wrote. “Shameful how they use @GovRonDeSantis photo on articles that have nothing to do with him, just to get clicks.”

DeSantis Daily will keep you up-to-date on any new developments in this ongoing story.
