Donald Trump said three words about Ron DeSantis that his supporters thought they would never hear

Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis went at each other’s throats during the Republican Presidential Primary.

Trump frequently referred to him by nasty nicknames, while DeSantis attacked his record in the White House.

But Donald Trump just said three words about Ron DeSantis that his supporters thought they would never hear.

Since his election in 2018, Ron DeSantis has shifted Florida from a top swing state to a solid red state where Republicans have a supermajority in the State Legislature.

DeSantis and Trump started out as allies during his first bid for the Governor’s Mansion in 2018.

Donald Trump’s endorsement is what helped DeSantis win the Republican Primary and eventually go on to pull off a narrow victory in the 2018 General Election.

Of course, DeSantis and Trump did not stay allies for long.

After he rejected Biden’s COVID tyranny and waged war on the woke ideology, DeSantis rose to rock star status among GOP voters nationwide and was the biggest threat to Donald Trump in the Republican Presidential Primary.

Realizing he was a potential threat, Donald Trump started taking shots at Ron DeSantis in the weeks leading up to the 2022 Midterms.

Trump called him “Governor DeSanctimonious” during one of his rallies and followed that up by releasing a full statement calling him an average Republican Governor and noting that he would have never been elected as Governor without his endorsement in 2018.

DeSantis returned the fire after he declared himself a candidate for President and ripped Trump for his record of wasteful spending and for not following through on his campaign promises.

But the feud may soon be over after DeSantis recently said that he plans to help Trump raise money for his General Election matchup against Joe Biden.

“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis told donors and supporters at an appreciation retreat over the weekend that he would help fundraise for former presidential rival Donald Trump, two sources familiar with the details told CNN,” CNN reported. “The appreciation retreat, which was held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, was for large donors, major fundraisers and finance committee members of the DeSantis campaign.”

A Trump campaign advisor told the press that “everyone should be working towards defeating Joe Biden and electing President Trump.”

On Wednesday, Trump held an event at his estate in Mar-a-Lago where he thanked DeSantis for offering to help him raise money.

“Today, I heard very nice things,” Trump said. “I heard he’s going to campaign very hard for me,” he added, before stating, “he’s going to raise a lot of money for me.”

“Ron,” Trump continued, before adding “we like you.”

“Welcome back,” he told the Governor.

DeSantis is known for his exceptional ability to fundraise.

And his support will certainly be welcomed by Donald Trump as he tries to return to the White House in November.
