Jaws hit the floor when a naked man took a stroll through this major Florida airport

Feb 12, 2024

A record 137.6 million people visited Florida in 2022.

With tens of millions of people traveling to Florida, crazy things are bound to happen.

But jaws hit the floor when a naked man took a stroll through this major Florida airport.

Ron DeSantis turned Florida into an “oasis of freedom” for the rest of the country during the pandemic.

Record numbers of travelers visit the Sunshine State each year.

“People continue to make Florida their vacation destination because they know that in the Free State of Florida, they can enjoy all that we have to offer without mandates or restrictions,” DeSantis said in response to the record visitation in 2022. “Despite the federal government’s attempts to keep our economy stagnant, Florida’s freedom first approach has created an environment that attracts new visitors, fosters new businesses and drives our economy forward.”

Of course, out of 137 million people, a few of them are bound to be a little off their rockers.

This was apparent on Tuesday when a drunk man decided to take a fully naked stroll through the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

“A man who was caught on camera going on a naked, drunken walk through a terminal at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport has been arrested,” NBC Miami reported. “The incident happened around 2 p.m. Monday when 36-year-old Martin Evtimov parked his vehicle on the sidewalk outside Terminal One, Broward Sheriff’s Office officials said,” NBC Miami’s report continued. “Evtimov, who was naked, walked into the terminal and breached a secure Transportation Security Administration checkpoint.”

A social media user posted a video of the man walking naked through the airport on X.

“A naked man was caught on camera earlier today at Ft. Lauderdale Airport as he tried to make his way past the TSA!” the account ONLY in DADE wrote.

The footage has since been removed from X.

When approached by deputies and TSA officers, Evtimov resisted arrest before being subdued and taken into custody by law enforcement.

Evtimov was booked into jail and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, disorderly conduct, disorderly intoxication, and indecent exposure.

On Tuesday, Evtimov appeared in court where a judge granted him a $3,500 bond and ordered him to undergo mental health screening, avoid alcohol, and stay away from the airport.

“I do find probable cause on all counts,” the judge said. “I’m giving no return to the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.”

Evtimov attempted to address the court during his hearing; however, the judge denied his request and refused to let him talk.

“No, sir,” the judge said. “I’m not going to allow you to make any statements on the record right now.”
