Ron DeSantis is just weeks away from entering the 2024 Presidential campaign.

The pro-DeSantis Super PAC Never Back Down is up with a new ad entitled “Winner” that will run in the critical early voting states of Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina.
In the ad, DeSantis touts Florida as a state that stood up to Dr. Fauci and acted as a bulwark against woke ideology in schools and corporations.
“When common sense became an uncommon virtue, Florida was a citadel of freedom for our fellow Americans,” the ad shows DeSantis declaring. “We will never surrender to the woke mob. Florida is where woke goes to die!”
Naming the ad “Winner” gets at the heart of the argument DeSantis will make to Republican voters.
The GOP suffered disappointing election cycles in 2018, 2020, and 2022.
Whereas in Florida, under DeSantis’ leadership Republicans flipped the state from the ultimate battleground to a ruby red haven for conservatives.
Republicans also outnumber Democrats for the first time ever in the Sunshine State.
DeSantis achieved these wins without moderating and pushing a conservative agenda on stopping woke brainwashing in schools, drawing a hard line on illegal immigration, protecting life, and defending the Second Amendment.
The new TV ads come at a critical time in the race.
While DeSantis has been governing in Florida, Trump’s been busy campaigning for President.
Polls show DeSantis being off the field is hurting him.
A new CBS poll showed Donald Trump surging to a 36-point lead over DeSantis nationally.
But DeSantis’ argument that he is a winner who can implement the Trump agenda without making concessions to the Left is DeSantis’ best bet to get back into the race.
After the 2022 Midterm election, some polls showed DeSantis overtaking Trump after DeSantis scored a record 19-point landslide reelection win and several Trump-endorsed candidates lost winnable races.
There are still eight months to go before the first votes in Iowa.
And if DeSantis is going to claw his way back into this race it will be on a message that he is the conservative who is a winner.
