Hurricane Ian wreaked havoc across Florida last week, leaving more than 100 people dead and causing over $30 billion in property damage.
Governor Ron DeSantis is leading the recovery efforts in the Sunshine State.
And Christina Pushaw just destroyed Kamala Harris for spreading one disgusting lie about FEMA disaster relief funds.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been at war with the Biden administration since he refused to follow the administration’s COVID lockdown orders and mandates.
But Joe Biden put his political differences aside after Hurricane Ian destroyed the Sunshine State.
Biden and Governor DeSantis spoke on the phone at least once, and the President also promised to approve all FEMA disaster funds quickly and without delay.
But Vice President Kamala Harris couldn’t help but create chaos and confusion at the worst possible time.
On Friday, Harris told attendees at the Democratic National Committee’s Women’s Leadership Forum that FEMA disaster funds would favor low-income and minority groups.
“It is our lowest income communities and our communities of color that are most impacted by these extreme conditions and impacted by issues that are not of their own making,” Harris said. “And so we have to address this in a way that is about giving resources based on equity, understanding that we fight for equality, but we also need to fight for equity, understanding not everyone starts out at the same place.”
“And if we want people to be in an equal place, sometimes we have to take into account those disparities and do that work,” she added.
Of course, Harris’ jaw-dropping statement set off a firestorm of panic across Florida, with folks worried that funds would be distributed based on race instead of needs.
But Director of Rapid Response for DeSantis’ re-election campaign, Christina Pushaw, pushed back and demanded clarification about Kamala Harris’ claim from the Biden administration.
“This is false,” Pushaw wrote in a post where she shared a video of Harris’ comments. “@VP’s rhetoric is causing undue panic and must be clarified,” Pushaw added. “FEMA Individual Assistance is already available to all Floridians impacted by Hurricane Ian, regardless of race or background. If you need assistance visit disasterassistance.gov or call 1-800-621-3362.”

In a follow-up reply to her post, Pushaw elaborated further on Harris’ absurd claim.
“[T]he areas of SWFL hardest hit by the storm are mostly white but greatly varied in socioeconomic status,” Pushaw added. “None of that matters; rescuers are helping everyone they possibly can and people are getting the assistance they need.”
FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell appeared on Face the Nation Sunday to clean up Harris’ mess.
“[O]ur programs support everybody,” Criswell told host Margaret Brennan. “We’re going to support all communities,” she continued, before adding that “I committed that to (Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis), I commit to you right here that all Floridians are going to be able to get the help that is available to them through our programs.”
Kamala Harris humiliates herself during every public appearance she makes.
And that is one of the many reasons why she is the least popular Vice President in the past 50 years.
