Joe Biden announced to the nation that “the pandemic is over” on September 18, 2022.
But six months later, many of Biden’s illogical COVID protocols are still in place.
And Democrats are furious over the scathing letter Ron DeSantis sent Joe Biden for denying tennis superstar Novak Djokovic entry into the country.
Ron DeSantis became a top enemy of the Biden regime during the pandemic after becoming the first Governor to reject Anthony Fauci’s lockdown orders and reopen the state for business.
DeSantis also went one step further and protected freedom by banning masks and vaccine mandates in the Sunshine State.
When Joe Biden signed an illegal order mandating millions of Americans in healthcare, government, and other specific sectors get vaccinated as a condition of employment, DeSantis fought back with a lawsuit against the mandate.
The Democrats and the media viciously attacked DeSantis every step of the way during the pandemic over his pro-freedom agenda.
They nicknamed him “Ron DeathSantis” and claimed his policies would lead to countless deaths all across the Sunshine State.
Of course, time has proven that these doom-and-gloom predictions were wrong and DeSantis made the correct decisions.
But while most Americans have moved on from the pandemic – Joe Biden even declared it officially over back in September – many of the absurd COVID protocols remain in place to this very day.
This includes the CDC’s requirement that “noncitizens who are nonimmigrants and seeking to enter the United States by air are required to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before boarding a flight to the United States from a foreign country.”
Biden’s absurd COVID vaccine mandate for foreign visitors is preventing tennis superstar Novak Djokovic from competing in the Miami Open on March 19.
Djokovic set off a firestorm by refusing to get the COVID vaccine, which required the top-rated player in the world to miss several major tournaments.
But Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is determined to end the mandate before March 19 so Djokovic can compete in the tournament.
DeSantis fired off a scathing letter to Joe Biden on Tuesday demanding clarification on whether the CDC will allow Djokovic to enter Florida for the Miami Open.
“It has been reported that Novak Djokovic has formally applied and been denied permission from your administration to enter the United States so that he may compete at the upcoming Miami Open tennis tournament,” DeSantis said. “This denial is unfair, unscientific and unacceptable. I urge you to reconsider.”
DeSantis reminded Biden that he declared the pandemic over in September and also slammed him for doing nothing about the “thousands of unvaccinated migrants” flooding across the border every day.
“In sum, the current ‘travel ban’ as applied to Mr. Djokovic – and presumably millions of other potential unvaccinated foreign visitors – seems completely ungrounded in logic, common sense, or any genuine concern for the health and welfare of the American people,” DeSantis said.
But what really infuriated Democrats is when DeSantis offered to bring Djokovich to Florida via a boat from the Bahamas.
He gave Biden a deadline of March 10 to let him know if he could “legally enter this country via boat.”
“I respectfully ask you to grant his requested exemption so that he may delight and inspire tennis fans in Florida and around the Nation,” DeSantis concluded the letter.
The ball is now in Joe Biden’s court.
And he only has until March 10 to let DeSantis know if Djokovic can come to Miami on a boat from the Bahamas.
