The corporate-controlled media has fallen to new lows in their left-wing activism.
And for the most part they get away with it.
But Democrats are having a meltdown after Ron DeSantis called the media out for hoping for the worst.
As Hurricane Ian headed toward Florida, most Americans were praying for the safety and well-being of Floridians.
And Ron DeSantis and the leaders in Florida were preparing for what they knew would likely be a major and destructive storm.
Even the federal government was marshaling their forces to provide aid and support.
But not Democrats and the liberal corporate-controlled media.
No, they were rooting for Hurricane Ian to hit Tampa directly and inflict the worst possible damage to the Sunshine State.
They were openly hoping devastation from Ian would derail DeSantis’ political fortunes.
And Governor DeSantis called them out on it.
That’s when the Left went crazy.
Leftists were outraged after a video emerged of America’s Governor suggesting that the “national regime media” were rooting for Hurricane Ian to cause mass casualties and destruction in the Sunshine State.
“Well look, I think, I think part of it quite frankly, you know you have national regime media that they wanted to see Tampa hit because they thought that, that would be worse for Florida. That’s how these people think,” DeSantis can be heard telling a reporter in the video posted by Florida Voice News.
DeSantis went on to say that the media doesn’t care about the people of Florida affected by Ian and are only using coverage of storms and the ensuing destruction to advance their agenda.
While every bit of the statement is, of course, true, it was just unacceptable to the Left.
Charlie Crist, the Democrat candidate for Governor, said the comments by DeSantis were “disgusting.”
And leftist hypocrites took to social media to attack DeSantis for once again speaking the truth.
Leftist attorney and DeSantis-hater Ron Flipkowski tweeted out “Desantis says the ‘national regime media’ was rooting for the hurricane to hit the Tampa area so it would cause maximum destruction and death, which they could use against him politically.”
And his tens of followers were outraged.
“Despicable,” one tweeted.
“Delusional,” said another.
And of course, race had to be brought into it by the Left, “Do these white men ever stop complaining about being victims?”
But the real question is, why were so many Democrats and leftists so upset by the statement?
The answer, of course, is they can’t stand the truth, they cant stand when anyone calls them out for their hypocrisy and anti-American rhetoric, and they cant stand when they get caught.
That’s why they cozy up to the weak Republicans who are afraid to call them out and fight back.
DeSantis just has the cajones to call them out for it and that makes the Left furious.
