Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has not yet entered the 2024 Republican Presidential Primary race.
But that hasn’t stopped Donald Trump from going after DeSantis.
And Donald Trump just sided with Joy Reid in one attack against DeSantis that left conservatives scratching their heads.
Donald Trump is the clear frontrunner for the GOP nomination to take on Joe Biden in 2024.
Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, and the few other Republican candidates currently in the race pose no threat to Trump for the nomination.
Donald Trump knows that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is the one Republican who could take the GOP nomination from him in 2024.
DeSantis rose to rock star status in the Republican Party over the past two years for his willingness to fight for freedom and take on the woke Left.
Even though DeSantis is keeping his plans to himself, most Republican political operatives expect him to enter the race when the state legislative session ends in May.
Donald Trump decided not to wait for DeSantis to enter the race to go on the attack against him.
At first, Trump used nicknames to attack DeSantis, such as “Ron DeSanctimonious” and “Meatball Ron.”
But in recent weeks he started attacking DeSantis on issues and even accused him of mishandling the pandemic.
And now Donald Trump just released “The Real Ron DeSantis Playbook,” which is full of multiple attacks against the Governor.
Even though most Republicans are confused by Trump attacking the only other conservative fighter in America, the former President included a new line of attack against DeSantis that left many scratching their heads in disbelief.
Donald Trump used the left-wing National Low Income Housing Coalition and the far-Left Florida Policy Institute as sources for some of his attacks on DeSantis.
But the most shocking source Trump used was left-wing MSNBC host Joy Reid.
“Former President Donald Trump’s campaign on Friday launched multiple attacks on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a potential rival in the race for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, citing multiple progressive groups and far-left MSNBC host Joy Reid’s blog in doing so,” Fox News reported. “In a press release titled, ‘The Real Ron DeSantis Playbook,’ Trump’s campaign cited data from the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) and the Florida Policy Institute to blast DeSantis for what it said was data showing the state continuing ‘to tumble into complete and total delinquency and destruction.’”
Fox News added that “Trump later posted on Truth Social with a quote from Reid’s Wednesday blog, The ReidOut, which called DeSantis’ trip to Washington, D.C. to meet with lawmakers this week a ‘charm offensive’ and ‘a massive failure.’”
Joy Reid is one of the most radical left-wing hosts on cable TV.
She viciously attacks and smears both Ron DeSantis and Donald Trump on a near-daily basis.
But Donald Trump is concerned about Ron DeSantis taking the nomination from him.
And apparently Trump is willing to team up with radical leftists like Joy Reid to try and score cheap shots against the Governor.
