Shielding children from sexually-explicit material didn’t used to be controversial.
But leftists today have become completely unmoored from moral standards.
And as Ron DeSantis continues to protect children, leftists are losing their minds.
If you listened to the radical Left and their media allies, you would think DeSantis is holding book burnings in Florida.
Of course, no books are being burned or banned.
Florida is simply requiring that books that depict graphic sex acts not be available to young children in government-run schools or libraries.
One school in Florida even pulled a political stunt in which they emptied out all the books in the library and posted a video of empty shelves, blaming the Florida law that requires books to be age appropriate and free of pornography.
In a recent press conference, DeSantis called out the Left’s stunt to try to create their book banning narrative.
NEW 👇 Gov. DeSantis responds to question about books that were removed from Florida public schools:
"No one has made the affirmative case for why you should have a book for 10-year-olds… [with] sex acts being performed in an illustration. That's just inappropriate." pic.twitter.com/DU06WrpLnu

“No one has made the affirmative case for why you should have a book for 10-year-olds . . . [with] sex acts being performed in an illustration. That’s just inappropriate,” DeSantis said.
DeSantis noted that the material from several books in question was considered to be too graphic to be shown on the 6 o’clock news, but yet some on the Left seem to think it is okay for fourth graders to be viewing this material at school.
No sane parent or teacher would want these types of books in schools, but yet many of them are in elementary school libraries across the country.
Deviants who groom and prey on vulnerable children have become more emboldened than ever with the radical Left running cover for them.
Thankfully, Ron DeSantis is leading the way in fighting back.
He passed legislation to ban sexual discussions with children in kindergarten through third grade – which his administration later extended K-12 – and in the process took on Disney, the largest and most powerful company in the state, after they tried to kill the bill.
He went after the liquor licenses of bars that were hosting drag queen stripteases that admitted young children to these perverse shows.
Now he is ensuring that the books that are in the school libraries are appropriate for children to read.
More Governors should follow DeSantis’ lead when it comes to protecting kids.
