Over 1,500 people attended the Republican Party of Florida’s annual Sunshine Summit fundraiser on Friday.
Ron DeSantis delivered the keynote address.
And the left-wing media is furious over the one name Ron DeSantis repeatedly called Joe Biden.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is the most popular Republican elected official in the entire country.
Polls consistently show that if Donald Trump decides not to run for President again in 2024, the GOP nomination would be DeSantis’ for the taking if he wants it.
However, before he can think about running for President, DeSantis must first get re-elected to a second term as Governor this fall.
DeSantis will be taking on either Congressman Charlie Crist or Agricultural Commissioner Nikki Fried, who are facing off in the upcoming August 23 Democrat Primary.
Even though DeSantis is crushing both of his potential opponents in the polls and in fundraising, he set a major goal of winning by such a large margin in November to turn Florida into a solid Red state.
On Friday, DeSantis took steps toward making that goal a reality by headlining the Republican Party of Florida’s annual Sunshine Summit fundraiser.
During his speech, DeSantis encouraged other Republicans to stand up and fight back against the radical Left.
“When you look at what we’ve done in Florida, we have stood up to the media, we have stood up to people like Fauci, and we have stood up to ‘Brandon’ himself to keep Florida free,” DeSantis said to loud applause from a packed ballroom at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Broward County.
“Brandon” is a throwback to the popular “Let’s Go Brandon!” phrase that swept the country last year, which really means “F*ck Joe Biden!”
Citing his battle with Disney over the misnamed “Don’t Say Gay” bill, DeSantis pitted himself as a fighter against the left-wing media, “cancel culture,” and “the woke mob.”
“Big companies based in California do not run the state of Florida,” DeSantis said.
“We do not need to be jamming some left-wing sexual agenda down their throats,” he added.
But it wasn’t just the Democrats who DeSantis ripped during his speech.
The Florida Governor also had a message for Republicans in Congress.
DeSantis, who previously served in the U.S. House, said too many Republicans nowadays were too much talk and not enough action.
If Republicans take back Congress this fall, DeSantis encouraged them to actually stand up and fight for our values instead of just talking about it.
“If Republicans get majorities in Congress — I’m sick of them talking,” he said.
“I’m sick of them telling us what they’re going to do, I’m sick of them going on cable,” DeSantis continued, before adding, “Because you know, in Florida, we don’t just talk, we do.”
DeSantis has proven time and time again that he doesn’t just talk the talk, he also walks the walk.
And Democrats are terrified of him for this reason.
